'96 was I believe the first year all cars where required to have R134a. '94 model year Honda/Acuras are R12 unless it has been converted.

Um I think that is incorrect, I thought all cars 93 and newer are required to have r134a by law.. maybe I was misinformed??:dunno:

edit: I now have confirmed that NSX's were converted in 93, I know that might not mean much but it helps I guess.. I'm sure someone here knows.

what did you find when you looked under the hood?

The refill port is the low pressure side. If you pull the cap off, it looks like a standard air fitting (the high pressure side is larger). You can buy a refill kit from any parts store that typically comes with the hose with fittings, a can valve and a pressure gauge. Make sure the can you buy comes with oil or you'll have to buy it seperate. I had my system already discharged from an accident (had to replace the condesnor, fan and one of the lines) and it filled pretty easy. I don't remember exactly (directions are on the package) but I think you just start the car, crank the A/C to high, hook up the valve, puncture the bottle with the bottle valve and shake it while it drains/refills. Mine's working just fine since I refilled it a few months ago.
