Most opt for the Hseries because it has more going for it. I don't know much about the Fseries motors, but I've never heard of anyone swapping one instead of an Hseries. :dunno:

Good question.

H-series will fit, but its a DAMN tight fit. I'd get the B series.

Some engine codes that might be helpful for you

B16A1 - older generation b16
B16A2 - Civic Si
B16A3 - Del Sol VTEC
B16B - Civic Type R
B18B - LS
B18C1 - GSR
B18C5 - Integra Type R
B20Z or B20B - CRV
B20A - OLD Prelude Engine (NOT WORTH YOUR TIME!)
F22 - Accord
H22 - Prelude VTEC

Thats the gist of the engine codes. If you want more details look them up. Any of these motors will work. H22 and F22 will work, just a matter of how good you are at swapping or finding someone who will do the work for you. Both are pretty tight fit and if you want A/C for the H22, you have to fabricate your own bracket.
