Default Painting Carbon Fiber?

I know it's possible and no I'm not painting a carbon fiber hood but rather carbon fiber fenders. I jsut don't like the look of the carbon fiber fenders but I love the weight savings they offer, so how do I do it?

sand, primer, paint... Why spend the money on CF when you can get urethane one's made, or fiberglass for a lot less money?

weight savings? Have you ever lifted up a stock fender? They are very light, its just sheet metal. I say spend that money on something else. But if you want cf, just sand with 600 grit, prime, paint, and clear.

Well...I want to shave some more weight from the front of my car because of the engine I'm swapping in. I thought CF or even fiberglass fenders could do that.

like they said man, it's not that big of a difference. you could easily kick a dent in your fender. its pretty thin and not even that big to begin with. I'm guessing you already have the hood?

save the money and just up the performance of the engine instead.
