*** Disclaimer: I am a noob... Don't flame me too bad ***

Last week I had a muffler installed on a 93EX. While on the lift, the guy cutting the old sh*t out asked me if I wanted the resonater removed. He said that I would get better sound out of it if I did. I said, what the hell... Go ahead! Anywho, here is my problem... at lower RPM's the car sounds awesome (deep growl), and when I am on the highway it humms pretty good (Not loud at all - can have a normal conversation) But, when I accelerate from a stop, here come the attack of the killer bees! The lower RPM's sound good, but I don't know how long I can handle the buzzing at takeoff!!! HAHA... Should I have left my resonater on?

if you paid 200$ just for a muffler you got riped off....
and i think thats a normal sound

 

Arospeed sucks donkey balls.

 

cannister style with no resonator is going to give you that annoying buzzing sound.

 

Most things will sound like an ass with no cat installed. Unless you have a turbo to keep it tone the sound down. I remeber that old video of the greddy muffler w/ no cat.

 

my friend has the RSR EXMAG with a test pipe. Cant tell that there is no cat.

Nahh, I didn't pay $200 for it. I bought a similar (knock off) for about $90. It is the same design though.

Thanks. I guess that I am gonna call up the shop and have them re-install one. Lesson learned I guess. Wonder how much more that is going to cost me.
