Default Peeling Clear Coat? What's goin' on!?!?!

Hey Folks,

I noticed that what looks like the clear coat on my bumper is peeling, has anyone else had this problem? It's strictly on the bumper, the side shown (no where else). I'm just a little confused... anyone know how this would be caused???

Thanks!

It's caused by exposure to the sun, or just a cheap repaint peeling off.

If you live in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Florida, etc... that's why.

Yeah, kinda what I figured... just wasn't sure exactly what it was.... I just found it strange how it was only in that one spot, and nowhere else on the car....

Don't worry, it spreads fast. In a couple years, about half of the clear will probably be gone.

Yeah, I'll probably just end up getting a new bumper and painting that...

go to a professional shop and see what they think. if you're getting your bumper painted then you might as well kill two birds with one stone.
