Default b20z question

does the p-30 intake manifold fit on the B20 head? or do you HAVE to use an LS mani?

im pretty sure that only the LS and B20 IM are interchangeable. I know that the skunk2 site has them listed as the same part #. hope that helped ya.

P30, that's second gen B16A, right?

If so, no. The only manifolds that will fit are from a B18A/B or B20B/Z, and neither of the B20 manifolds will fit under a Civic hood.

I've *heard* that the B20Z manifold will fit under a civic hood, and hondaswap.com seems to confirm this. But I've never seen a B20 civic w/o the LS manifold, so I'm not particularly inclined to believe it.

yup I've seen them fit too, but that manifold is odd and doesn't have any advantages if you are planning on racing at all. its only good for flattening out the torque curve a little bit at lower rpms

Nice to know the -Z manifold will fit, I've heard rumours but nothing solid.

I would never use it in the swap, though.

considering a b20z w/ the ls mani makes more torque 2k-3k than a gsr makes anywhere, I think its safe to say the torque curve doesn't need any flattening out. If that resonator were genuinely beneficial, I think we'd se it more on different cars. Good to know it fits though, thanks mang :exnbp:
