idle problems. please help

Default idle problems. please help

i have a 94 civic ex and the idle revs up and down, up and down when im in park or in neutral. if im in revers or drive it dosen't do it. any suggestions would be great. thanks

Umm I unpluged this to see if it is the problem on mine and it worked it needed replacing. Goodluck. Also check to see if your vacume lines got loose or ripped.

sounds like a vacuum leak....or dirty throttle body....or what honura said....if the vacuum leak and what honura said isnt it...then id just take out the thorttle body and clean it....other than that im clueless

yea i suspected the leak so i have to take it in. no time to do it. thanks

maybe its just a loose vacuum tube or soemthing...try tighting the vacuum lines....if it doesnt work....maybe theres a hole in one of the lines....

well took it in and got it fixed. the throttle body was really dirty and the flat won't close unless manuly colsed. they suggest new throttle body. its fine now but it won't pass smog like this, well looks like i got two years. ya. thanks for the help.

I had the same exact problem ... just clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner will fix it
