Default Civic Oil Pan Thread

I appreciate any advice on this one, I recently went to a victory lane oil change, in the process of changing my oil they destroyed my oil pan thread, so they put on a "pan saver" whatever that is. They said it was not a permanent fix, they could drill hole in the oil pan and essetially make a new plug...should I let them do this? If not, what other options do I have. Thanks for your help.

No way. Plain and simple. Don't let them cut corners that will end up hurting your engine. They screwed up and they need to atone for it.

The BBB can't do anything to them. The BBB is only a tracking organization that documents complaints. They can not make a business do or pay for anything. I have tried that, trust me, it's a waste of time because the business with lie their asses off just to save face and there's nothing that you can do about it. h:

GL man...

Take your car to Honda, have it fixed and present them with the bill. They have insurance to cover things like this.

This is what I would do. If they don't want to fix it, tell them you will persue this legally. Poeple tend to jump a bit when you tell them you are taking them to court.

EDIT: If they messed up putting a simple plug in the pan, do you really want them to drill into the oil pan? How do you know they will get all the shavings out? A new pan is the safest way to go.

Worst case, you have to replace it yourself...which isn't hard at all. But, I certainly hope it doesn't come to that.
