Bedding new brakes...
I got my Brembo Blanks and Axxis Ultimates installed, and wow - the brake feel is much firmer! Of course that is to be expected based on the shape of the old brakes and pads. Anyway, I was talking to a guy who services Hondas and he said that the newer models (mine included) do not need to be bedded with the sets of near stops to break them in. Apparently, they are now designed to "bed" themselves with normal use. Have any of you heard of this? Or is bedding just a specialized way of breaking in the brakes to help them perform better? Thanks!

This might be different for your brakes, but according to my Hawk instructions it was:
5-8 medium stops from 40mph
3-5 hard stops from 50mph
Then park the car for about 1 hour without the brakes on.

All brake pads need to be bedded. I don't know about you, but it takes a few good stops on new pads for the pedal to feel "normal" again, when the pads have bedded to the grooves in the rotors.

Still here... sorta...
I have the exact same setup and I bedded mine for a good 10 stops at various speeds as CivicSiRacer mentioned and then parked it on a flat spot without the brakes on so they wouldn't stick to the hot rotors.

Right you don't want the rotors cooling down while on the rotoros or the pads and rotors will cool down at different speeds.

Cool. I thought that might be the case, but I figured I'd ask anyway. I had to drive the car yesterday and to school this morning so I didn't really have a chance to bed them well yesterday - especially since it was raining (boo Ohio!). Today it's sunny so I'll go out and do it!
Oh, BTW, does is there really a "correct" set of speeds to bed properly? I've seen several different sets of numbers.
