Default New Project...

A friend of mine cant decide, hes building a new car after a drunk driver totaled his car.(H22A Civic HAtch) So he bought himself a 95 Civic DX Coupe...he cant decide what he wants however...B18B (with plans for a turbo)or B16A

anyways
cost wise...like with everything needed to swap either the b18B or B16A into the civic DX about how much does he need.... last time the h22a cost him a good 5K....btw motor is going to be from hmotors.

B16

B18B

guy is extremely poor so he cant post himself...just wants some imput before starting the project...wants turbo...but also wants the vtec...and no he wont get any other motor cept those 2 because of financial reasons.lol spends all his stuff on the car....

i'd say b18b with turbo...b16a kinda torque less...but might not be so bad in a 95 dx

OK heres a stupid question on my part...i was just asking him about the swap and why not just get the SIR 1 swap instead of the SIR 2 because its cheaper...he told me that it would be better off going with the SIR 2 than with the SIR 1 because of the ECU, Mounts, and some other stuff i cant remember that he mention...

errr...can someone explained to me why? lol sorry i understand things better if i read it rather than it being explained to me.

im talking about this change over...cant this just go straight into the civic? without anything aftermarket needed to get the motor running? like basically what comes with the changeover will basically work... Im dumb when it comes to swaps...so yeah i have no clue

also whats the difference between this B16A and the SIR2? can the Integra XSI swap right into the Civic without any modifications?

I think this thread is turning intoa thread for me... need to start on a new project too and im not too sure about these swaps....in fact i have no clue basically

SiR1 has a cable actuated tranny as opposed to the new hydro model, he would have to order the HASport cable to hydro conversion kit, also he would have to swap all the obd-0 stuff out (dizzy, injectors, ecu) for OBD-1 stuff. I have the sir1 swap in my 95 DX so if you have any specific questions just shoot me a pm
