The other is the driver. Driving a B16 well isn't easy.

Before Jerry Birchmore started racing in Honda Challenge, he would drive NASA track days with his '99 or '00 Civic Si, and he seemed to do pretty well.

What's hard about driving a B16 that makes it harder than any other high revving Honda VTEC motor?

Or were you saying it's easier to drive a K20 than a B16?

The K motors do have a lot of torque down low over a broader range than the D and B motors of previous Civics.

I'm not sure what kind of drag race you guys had in mind, but the gearbox of the EP3 isn't very well suited to it. It's a delight to drive around town, but the EP3 driver can be hindered by gear ratios in a drag to 60 or the quarter.

I am not in any way a drag racer, but I've noticed that second gear doesn't make it to 60 in an EP3.

I kind of worded that response wrong h: . I'm just saying that the launch and shifting consistency when driving an Si, or any other Honda-esque car for that matter, is pretty important in drag races.
