Default Cam Seal

I know this has been covered before, but I was wondering at what mileage are most of you replacing your Cam seals on your B series motors...I had heard they have a tendency to leak...how would I know if it was leaking and would it be a good idea to just go ahead and change it out anyhow? I mean it is only like 20-25 bucks for an STR or Golden Eagle cam seal.

I would change it with something other than the OEM replacement. I am buying the STR cam seals, which have O Rings for a better seal. There are others out there too, these were just the most cost effective.

I put an STR one on at 65k miles and mine was leaking already. Know that I know about it, I'd probably replace as I was doing the swap. They really aren't expensive or hard to change.

Yes, the OEM one isn't that great, and is prone to leak. The others are made of AL with some O rings for a better seal.
