do a search and you will learn many great things, one being that superchargers are great for autocross, although alot of people like the common small ass turbo for that application. superchargers have a reason for being made for a 4cyl. if you have a supercharger and a turbo on the same boost which would run faster and why??(apply to drag) think about it.

i'd like to see just a supercharger bolted on get him into the 13's... on a SOHC 1.6, 10psi for turbo would get him into the 13's for about $800.... what does a supercharger cost? oh and don't go into the KITS are the best in the world please, so my homemadeturbo kit is shit cuz its not namebrand crap.

also torqueless cuz i have a D-series, rofl your B16a has 108ft/tq my stock d16a6 had 100ft/tq... wow big difference there for $1500 + for the swap. for even 1500 i can get pistons, rods, turbo kit.. you may be able to get more power out of your setup over time but for the same price you spent on your engine i can boost way over your head for the price.

 

who said anything about price? I dont give a shit if I have to pay a little more for more hp thats how it works.....some people arent just concerned with cheap D series power...if you like it...good for you...heard good things about it...lots of friends have the same setup....but when I got my b16a I got a great deal on it, and knew I would be turboing it later....soooo........honestly I love how you turbo D guys always pull out the "oh but its cheaper" card...ever stop to think that some people mite have a bigger budget than you and they would reather have a good base like a B series then turbo it later instead of slapping on a turbo and calling it a day

 

Kai is with me for turbo and i bet MOST will be also, you ask anyone which is better for power.. they will say turbo.

 

well since I already said that turbo is great..that isnt the point....I too would prob recomend a turbo, but I wouldnt ever say the supercharger is gay, when I have seen plenty of applications where a super was better than a turbo

 

that is not true a turbo may give you better power, but you will get more torque down low on a sc.... right it's all a matter of perspective man
