there IS a H23A DOHC VTEC and it came out of 1999-2000 JDM Honda Accord SiR's (wagons). if you don't believe me then i'll take a whole bunch of pics and send them to you because the engine is sitting right in the shop...it's got the blue valve cover.

then again...maybe it is non-VTEC.... LOL....care to race?
ohh ohh I'll race you in imaginary ville with my z6 powered Cx instead of Spood. Oh wait homeskillet this is the internet he was just trying to help. Just relax a little man don't be jumping down peoples throats we are a forum where people generally joke with each other, deal with it or so long. Anyway post some pics of the swap I am interested as well sounds like you have a screamer.
edit: everyone around here loves the RSR Exmag, and I have heard nothing but good about the twinloop.

Trust me, there is a DOHC VTEC version of the H23A. It is incredibly rare, but it exists.

Default THANKS--->b16aEGcivic.....YOU'RE CRAZY--->supermac88

b16aEGcivic is exactly correct! I didn't say anything too horrible to Spood. It's just that I read Spood's reply, and he was being a total smartass. The only reason why I posted my question was because I was looking for some help...not smartass comments from people who obviously have nothing better to do than waste their time posting stupid replys when they don't even know what they're talking about.

supermac88 doesn't know what he's talking about! Yes...this is a forum. However, I thought the purpose of a forum was to get help and answers, not to joke with people and offer useless information. And by the way, I didn't jump down Spood's throat at all. Maybe you should read his smartass useless post over again, and then maybe you'll understand why I corrected him while poking some fun at him and his useless information.

kai deserves some thanks! Thank you for the props! I'll have my car up and running by the end of April, and I'll be sure to put some pictures up on here for everybody to check out. I'm getting really excited...I don't think that I can wait anymore!

Your right I have no freaking clue what I am talking about... god damn I'm sick of this, new people coming here and getting all pissy when people have even the smallest little remark.

My smartass useless post?! I'm sorry I'd never heard of your rare JDM Accord engine. I thought that perhaps you meant to type H22 instead, and was just pointing it out. So I was wrong. Now I know. Hooray. As far as the search button comment... If you took that personally...well, too bad for you. Obviously you haven't spent much time on message boards. I know that there have been multiple threads about more or less the same thing BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN THEM. Get over yourself.

Here you go. These are probably useless too.

I'm located in Batavia, which is by the Aurora/Naperville area and right off of I88. Here is what I have for the car so far...

Koni Shocks
Intrax Springs
Ingalls Camber Kit
Custom 2.5 inch B-Pipe
JDMShit Chipped P28 ECU
Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust
Fluidyne Aluminum Radiator
Quaife Limited Slip Differential
205/50/15 Falken Azenis Tires
MOMO Performance Shift Boot
ACT Heavy Duty Street Clutch
AEM Polished Short Ram Intake
15” Flat Black Rota Slipstreams
GSR Rear Disc Brake Conversion
MOMO Shot Carbon Fiber Shift Knob
Autometer Carbon Fiber Tachometer
ACT XACT ProLite Chromoly Racing Flywheel
Random Technologies High Flow Catalytic Converter

My car is a white 1992 Honda Civic CX Hatchback, and I'm going to keep it as a sleeper. My old car was a 1994 Honda Civic EX that was pretty much stock, so I'm really looking forward to driving my new car. I've bought everything for the car myself, and I'm really excited that I'm finally going to get it on the road. It's been awhile

I can't beileve how much bitching goes on in these forums...it's unbelievable!

Anyways, my brother's best friend owns a nice import shop, and he is going to do the work for me. He's only going to charge me $1,000 for the entire swap, and that's including the installation of the Quaife and everything else! He's a good guy!

I'm interested to know where exactly you got the engine from? Damn those things are pretty rare. I'd love to put one in my accord if they were cheaper, and if you could easily find parts for one. You gotta get some shots of the engine when it's in the car man!

why you would put one in a 4th generation civic though is beyond me....it just seems there are a lot better, cheaper options for swaps that won't kill your weight distribution. I mean its fine for drag, but are you going to be dragging the car?
