Default Turbo and Keep A/C

Can I add a turbo and still keep my A/C? How much power is it going to rob me for? 1992 Civic SI D16Z6

Just don't turn the AC on when your trying to get max power out of your car. It's a free spinning pully.. meaning there is no load on it while the AC is off.

That's not what he means, he means can he keep it with spacing issues.

I couldn't, but I have a hybrid.

Ask Paulll. I know he has a turbo D16. Also, SleeperCivicEX kept his, but he has an EK.

I'm pretty sure the Greddy and Apexi kits incorporated the ability to keep A/C.

yeah, that pretty much depends on your manifold. their is usually and option to keep your A/C out there for any motor setup, hybrid or stock. Most of the time, the manifolds that offer the "highest performance" gains usually do NOT allow you to retain A/C, and most bolt-in kits from the bigger name companies as stated allow you to retain your A/C.

Sport Compact Car magazine had an issue out with a lot of different turbo kits. Specifically, there were some Greddy turbo kits that allowed one to keep his A/C. So the answer is yes!
