whats the best motor to put in a 93 civic si

i drive a 93 civic si audi TT grey it looks great on the outside but lacks on the inside. i have been working on cars for sometime but i havent done any motor work. i have some questions reguarding the best and fastest motor i can put in and what extra crap am i going to need. i am very thankfull for any help i may recieve
