Default Dyno Costs??

OK.. we just got a guy localy that decided to put a dyno in his shop. He charges $75 for your first pull & knocks a lil off for each one after that.

My question is what does everyone else charge out there??

does that $75 include tuning? or does he just give you baseline runs to show you how much hp/tq you have?

Dyno time varies widely depending on shop, location, demand, etc. The local dyno here in town charges $75 for like two power pulls. The price goes up considerably if you want to use the wideband o2 for tuning and air/fuel ratio. If I drive an hour and a half or so to another dyno, I pay $65/hr including wideband use. The second dyno has a much better shop and setup overall, so that makes it worth it to me ... the lower price is an extra bonus.

We paid $115 for two hours. Ended up getting in 6 runs or so and a fair amount of fuel tuning in about 2 hrs 15 mins (we went over a bit).

:edit: we know the guy, so we got a bit of a deal.

$75 is WAAAAAAAAY too much for one baseline pull. Thats highway robbery. Look for another shop, or try and get some buddies in on a shared time/dyno day. That will bring the costs down a lot.

From what I've seen, $100 an hour is going rate.

$75-$100 for three pulls is about average, but $75 for one is just stupid.
