Default Help! Flickering lights

Hey all - Here's my problem. I have a '97 civic ex. My headlights, dash lights, and dome light all flicker while i am driving. My heat even wavers when the lights flicker. What can I do about this? I'm checking the fuses now but other than that I have no idea. Help!

thanks!

Does it happen while the car is sitting still too or just when you are driving it?
Does the car cut out when this happens?
What do you mean by flickering? Brighter or dimmer?

My first guess would be a bad alternator. Need some more info though.

check the connection at the battery....make sure that there is no corrosion showing on your battery connection...if it is slidely oxidized take some steal wool or a dremel with a wheel and shine the metal connections back up....worked for me

Ok i'll try that stuff, thanks, heres more info. It only happens when I am driving, and the lights will dim and getbrighter, dim and get brighter, and so on. If I have air blowing (without the a/c) the air wavers too. The idle does not changewhen i do this. I dont have anything but the stock stereo system in my car.
Thanks

Yup, it sounds like you have a bad alternator. Take it to Autozone or a simular auto parts store, they will check it for free and tell you for sure.
