Default Hello Hydrolock

Just thought I'd share some pics of this.

broke connecting rods...crank turns, pistons just stay where they are

took tons of working the crank back and forth to get it to turn again, then i noticed the pistons werent moving anymore.

btw the fluid in the cyliders, is fresh oil. I soaked all the water out first.

But I just put bids down on pedals, hydraulic lines, slave cylinder, shift linkage. Motor just needs to be picked up, time for manual conversion...

That happend to my friend. He ran it through a puddle with a cold air intake. He showed my one of his rods and it was actually a U shape. Shit sucked, he replaced the motor with a b16 so it wasn`t all that bad.

I'll tear mine apart after its out, getting the car done is more of a priority for me though.

Funny thing is, I was running my stock airbox, minus the lower portion (everything past the hole in the fender was gone.

So you just had the resonator removed? Wow. Must have been a huge puddle. Makes me scared to just have my short ram.

If you were using the stock intake your insurance may cover damages under an act of god clause.

Happened to a friend of mine in a flash flood.
