what is a good engine to install in my 93 civic
I just put a b18c1 in my auto 94 civic DX. Very pleased with, I just wired up vtec today
. If you can get a good deal on a crv block and a b16 or gsr head then go for it other wise I say just go for the B18c1.
Vtec + straight pipes = loud, and very annoying, can't wait till my exaust comes in.

What do you want and expect out of an engine? Are you going to go N/A or FI?
B18C1 is a good engine with lots of options. It is a good N/A engine, and also good with boost.
H22 has lots of torque. It will require different mounts. It would be a great N/A engine. For turbo you would have to build it a bit more than the B18C1 to handle it.
B18B is non-vtec. It is less money, and it handles boost very well.
