Default check for ABS?

I have a 95 si hatch. Supposedly I have ABS in the rear, however:

1. I have no ABS light in my dash cluster
2. I have never felt the ABS kick in

Is there a way I can check my car for some type of ABS system?

if you had abs, you wouldnt have it only in the rear.
an easy way to test it, is just to slam on your brakes on a wet street. if your brakes do a pulsating thing, you have abs. if you just skid along, you dont.

I thought whenever civics or tegs had ABS it was only in the rear? anyway, I've tried hitting the brakes hard on slushy roads. I am pretty sure the rear wheels locked up and I didn't hear any pulsating (nor did I feel any in the pedal). Is there a way to verifty I don't have ABS by looking for the presence/lack of some type of ABS system?

If you have ABS you should have some type of brain box under the hood for it I would think. I don't have ABS so I can't say for sure though.

Edmunds would list it if it had it. Also I think Carfax will list if your car has ABS if you give them your VIN.

I don't know if this is true for 92-95 Civics, but 96-00 Civics with ABS all have 4 wheel disc brakes. So if you have drums in the rear chances are you don't.

I'm pretty sure it's located in the trunk.

You're rear tires shouldnt lock up if you don't have abs since the brake balance is so biased towards the front. That is unless you're using the e-brake and just didnt mention it.
