thoes are 96-98, you can tell by the where the reflector is supposed to be. which it is missing. if it was a 99 it does not have that the refelctorit .is in closer to the inside. the dealed is right. but they are not new head lights. he made them himself.

its really easy...

96-98 headlamps are curvier.

99-00 are sharper at the corners.

96-98 USDM headlamos have a reflector running along the bottom of the corner bulb. Most aftermarket headlamps for 96-98 will still have a reflector there, but it will either be clear or not present at all. Outter housing is kinda transparent, but ribbed (for her pleasure )

99-00 have a small triangular looking reflector. Also, the outter housing is a little bit clearer.

the 96-98 ctr's kinda have a bronze-y look to them.... it all depends on the light, and the time of day. They're really cool headlamps

but the 99-00 ctr's do look alot sleeker. I will give them that :happysad:

words of advice: if you upgrade headlights, cut the bullshit and get these. I've tried other headlamps, and have known members who have tried other headlamps, and used jdm ones.

jdm headlamps are far superiour

Are those Genuine JDM Civic Type R Headlights? Or aftermarket ones?

I guess I am going to go with the Type R headlights. Should I get real Jdm or aftermarket ones?

you can tell they're not real jdm ones because they do not have the amber reflective plate on the inside. i actually like them this way. the price for real jdm ones are around $500, while those cost me like $145. they're really hard to find, but the real jdm ones are on http://www.jhpusa.com/. so it's really up to you to choose which you want. just please don't get those ugly rainbow ones.
