I heard there were but were a pain in the butt to replace. Guess it all depends on how bad you want your climate control lit up huh? :chuckles:

Tru tru, one day this summer I'll attempt changing the bulbs. During the week busy at college and weekend working every minute. If you do it, let me know how easy/hard it was.

yeah, mine does it too. I kinda like no lights in the HVAC, since it makes night driving a bit easier.

one of these days, I'll pull it and put some LEDs in or something....

The problem you are all experiencing is an intermittent connection of the filament in the bulb. It's a common problem in old light bulbs. The filament is broken, yet the two broken ends are still touching eachother. As the bulb warms up, the metal gets softer and they separate (only by a little bit). Tapping the bulb hooks them back together, but it's only a temporary fix as I'm sure you have all noticed. A new bulb will fix the problem.

EDIT: 18secFerio, who is that in your avatar? Hot!

yeah, I had figured something to that extent. Every now and then when I hit a bump, half my hvac lights up.
