i'm not a man! i'm a girl! (no comments about girl drivers who get into accidents now)

for those who say to part it out - is that only worth it if i can do it myself? cause i really don't know much about car stuff. and will i really get that much more $ back from the car? i figure i can sell it to someone who wants the parts, or who wants to profit from parting it out themselves.

Well if you can't tear it apart yourself, then it wouldn't really work to part it out. I guess your only choice would be to look for a junkyard or some other interested buyer who wants to part it out himself (if you really don't feel comfortably taking it apart and selling off the doodads). :happysad:

Were you doing your nails or your make-up at the time of the accident? J/K :chuckles:

Not too many people are going to want to buy that cause if they need parts, they won't need a whole car. You could part out the easy stuff that you can take off yourself like interior, then try to sell the rest or call a junk yard.

Damn... it's a crying shame to see a civic like that taken in its youth. 60k miles is just getting broken in...

So let me get this straight... Did your car spin and hit something or did someone else hit you?

Even if you did get the bodywork done, if the place didnt do the frame work perfectly your steering would be screwed over for the life of the car (2 honda ago my family wrecked an accord and tweaked the frame, the body place bent it back and it was never the same)

i was going into a turn, and i guess i was going faster than i should have and plus the floor was slick from the rain. i slid, couldn't regain control of the car, this other car then hit me on the rear, and rolled me over.

How long was it fliped??? If it was a long time the oil and other misc. fluids flooded the engine. Im not sure if the engine would dead but its something to check. Do you have a boyfreind?? The reason i ask is if he is mechanicly incline he can pull the parts for you. That will be the best way to go. HIH

i think at least an hour...probably an hour and a half. guess that's another problem now. no BF, i could probably ask for some help pulling the parts, but i really don't wanna bug anyone. any idea how much more i could get by parting it out than selling it whole? i figure - engine $300, airbags, $300, gauge cluster $100, seats $200, console $75....ok, can't think of anything else...so almost a grand there. how easy is it to sell parts anyway?
