ok, yes the chassis is wired for vtec (or at least my 93 was), and you just need to use the vtec engine harness. When you do that, the old map sensor plug that came from the firewall is no longer used. Use the one on the engine harness, and tuck the wirewall one back somewhere. I normally find d16z6's for about 350. If you're just looking for a head to throw on your d15 block, let me know, and I can hook you up with the engine harness too. If you're looking for a complete motor, get on the local message boards and get the word out that you need one. Most people will almost give them away. Then you'd just need a p28. If you lived around here, I could find you a d15b7 for about 150... Hell, even look for a y8... Not a tough upgrade...

I forgot to mention. When I spun a bearing in my hatch this winter, I HAD to get a motor while I was on vacation, and no one had anything. I ended up biting the bullet and got a z6 form a yard for 450... I felt raped at that price, but it was a NEED, not a want. Had to keep the daily driver on the road, since the sol is engineless right now.

if you're throwing it in a 93-95 sol, you just need the aluminum style mount that ahs the bolts real close together. As far as I know, it's the same part... They were mostly in the 94-95 cars with z6's, but it's not consistant to say the least. As long as you have that and the metal bracket that bolts to the block, it should be good to go... Don't quote me, but if you have em laying around, it's worth a shot.
