Default Scheduled Maintenance

I know there are things that people overlook when it comes to maintaning a car. Other than oil changes what are some good tune-ups that are overlooked by the majority of the population to keep our cars running.
-transmission flush (30k miles)
-belt changes(75k miles)
-radiator flush(25k miles)
-distributor cap and rotor replacement(15k miles)
-fuel filter(30k miles)
-spark plug and wires(30k miles)
-....???
-....???

My Maintenance Schedule:

Buy Car 119K
Replace Motor 143K
Replace Transmission 143.5K
Replace Motor 159K - In Progress

Thats as far as I've gotten. The normal stuff like oil change is in there too.

service intervals

oil and coolant check - at fuel up
replace air cleaner - 30k or as needed
inspect valve clearance - 30k
replace spark plugs - 30k
inspect dist. cap, rotor, wires - 60k
inspect/adjust drive belts - 30k
replace timing belt - 90k
inspect idle speed - 60k
inspect pcv valve - 60k
replace coolant - 30k
replace tranny fluid - 30k
inspect brakes - 15k
replace brake fluid - 30k
check parking brake adjustment - 15k

some of these are important (like t-belt) but most are more of an as-needed sorta thing. These are just Honda's guidelines.

pretty much the same stuff. The main difference for 5th gens is that the CX and VX need valve clearances adjusted twice as often.

i don't think so, since the CX doesn't have it. :dunno:

I think they just have tighter tolerences since theyre working so little fuel  Or maybe since theyre such wussy motors, Honda gave them really dinky valvetrain and they get out of spec faster... hows that for a technical answer :db:

I'm not really sure why.
