Default sub advice

for all you bass fans who are wondering how hard it is to wire your own sub all you have to do i strip the passenger side carpet out and look for the ac line then drill with a 1/2 inch bit about an inch under that. If the sub is in the trunk then take out the plastic speaker covers and the storage bins and there will be hole already to the trunk to run the wire through its pretty simple just time comsuming. Then you can just run the rca and remote wires under the plastic armrest/storage thing.

How much money u got? If u want the bext go with JL i recommend the W6 subs. They are expensive but well worth it. 1 10" sub will blow away almost all dual 12" subs on the market both in terms or clarity of bass and output. There is simply no other woofer like it. In ur case go with 1 12" and ur car might rattle the engine out. I hope u like bass. I DO :naughty: i would recommend getting a 10" W6 b/c a 12 might be a little much. Go to ur local JL retailer and listen to em knock u will be amazed. I Promise!!

Elemental e12A. Or an e12O if you have the cash.

You actually don't have to drill anything to run the power wire. In the firewall, on the passenger's side, there's a hole with a rubber covering on it. Take the rubber cover off, then just run your power wire through there. You can fit any size wire through there. As for the JLs... I don't think a W6 will fit behind the seats. I think it's a little too deep. Plus, I think they suck. They hit hard, but it's not all about SPL. I like clean bass, and I think they give you anything but. I would go with a Boston Acoustics or an MB Quart (which is what I have). Good balance between thump and clarity, and they handle buckets of power. For a 10" Boston or Quart, they'll run you $200-$250 for the woofer.
