Journey to Get My Sol
If this gets posted twice, I'm sorry! Could a mod please remove one of them?
So me, my dad, and my girlfriend (Michelle) left this morning from Alpharetta, GA at 7:00 a.m. We went to Murfreesboro Tennessee to buy the Flying Ace - 222 miles. For those who haven't been following, the Flying Ace is a 1995 del sol S with 113k miles, a 5-speed. I paid $3200 for it, and I feel I got a great deal. On our way out, it began to rain.

It got pretty thick, and I made the comment "Couldn't get much worse than this" - as if going :awais: to the gods
So it started snowing
After three and a half hours of driving, we found it
The snow was starting to pick up so I didnt get a huge chance to inspect the interior, theres some dents, the right rear targa seal is dripping a little, and it may need new CV boots, but aside that its solid. So we signed the title, put a piece of cardboard with "Tag to be applied for - Just bought 2/15" in the rear windshield hoping the copes wouldnt mind, and headed out.
Then the blizzard picked up. It took us over four and a half hours to get home.
Once we got out of the mountains it was just rain, so we picked up some speed, and for about a stretch of ten miles it was clear as could be.
Despite the horrible and frantic weather, the Flying Ace now rests comfortably in my garage waiting its emissions test and registration (sucks that tomorrows presidents day).
I'm 18, and now the proud owner of a del sol.

Well that was a nice little bedtime story...complete with the optimistic beginning, the problematic middle, and the triumphant ending! :lmao:
But a Sol in the snow...a sad sad sight. Luckily my car will never see such wretched weather. Anyway, congrats on acquiring the Sol and welcome to the community! Might I suggest a first step for you...alloy wheels!
