you're right on which is which... I'd do it. light wheels, probably cheap as hell, and easy to find tires for....

What's the difference between the VX and CX?

Go ahead and save your money. It'll be a while before I get 1600 bones for rims+tires from tirerack.com

hummm maybe this was a vx, do the rims look the same? I'll have to look at the tag on the back of the car. I think i might just buy my rims like 2 at a time and slowly get new rims and tires. I don't have a credit card and i kinda don't want one. I'll spend 250 for two rims wait a couple months get two more.... then by all the tires, my g/f dad has a shop and i can mount tires there, on the rim.

I used to be the same way about not wanting a credit card, but finally got one out of neccesity. Good thing I did. I'm looking at buying a house, and that and my car loans are the only things on my credit report. I'm approved up to about 180K and I'm 23.... DO IT!

I thought the same way about credit cards and unfortunately, you can't get anything done in this country without credit. It's a no win situation. Corporate America has you by the balls.
