Funny but really sad
remember when i posted one of my engine mounts were broken and i kept driving my car like that heres what happened tonight..
ok so i was driving back home from school and i was going to take off its kinda rainy so i let go of the clutch and press the gas (i was going for a preety fast take off so i steped on the gas half way down) and i get some wheel hop and the sudently im holdig to the shifter and my stick went down the whole shift assembly just dropped i think the engine movement broke the bolts from the shift linkage that holds it in its place, which S^%&* .... so then i keep drivig home holding the shifter up so it wont go to the floor, by the way its hard to shift while the shifter is falling down..
PS: ill post some pics of it as soon as my camera downloads im havig trouble DL them

That is exactly what you said it was: funny yet sad. I knew a guy who broke the engine mounts on his Volvo wagon.... and supposedly drove him with half the engine dragging on the ground. I wasn't there to witness this, but he claimed the driveshaft had clearance and he was able to limp it home with tons of sparks flying everywhere.
At least the shifter itself didn't break off... how would you shift then??

here the promesed pics the only thing that happened was that the shifter mount on the back got out and i just got it in so im going to the junk yard in a sec to find me a new mount ( it sucks its cold)

ps: to shift i had to pull the shifter up and then push it up and down till it got in any gear i somethimes had to start out in 3rd gear (poor clutch)

i got it fixed today and it was a pain ...well the mount was easy but the bottom where the shifter is held it got all bent b/c of my motor moving around ... but at least its back on the road
does anyone have the bolt for the back mount or know the size of it? becouse i kinda misplaced it the one thats by the oil filter to the fire wall on a D16Y7 (crappy engine)
