Default Funny but really sad

remember when i posted one of my engine mounts were broken and i kept driving my car like that heres what happened tonight..

ok so i was driving back home from school and i was going to take off its kinda rainy so i let go of the clutch and press the gas (i was going for a preety fast take off so i steped on the gas half way down) and i get some wheel hop and the sudently im holdig to the shifter and my stick went down the whole shift assembly just dropped i think the engine movement broke the bolts from the shift linkage that holds it in its place, which S^%&* .... so then i keep drivig home holding the shifter up so it wont go to the floor, by the way its hard to shift while the shifter is falling down..

PS: ill post some pics of it as soon as my camera downloads im havig trouble DL them

That is exactly what you said it was: funny yet sad. I knew a guy who broke the engine mounts on his Volvo wagon.... and supposedly drove him with half the engine dragging on the ground. I wasn't there to witness this, but he claimed the driveshaft had clearance and he was able to limp it home with tons of sparks flying everywhere.

At least the shifter itself didn't break off... how would you shift then??

ps: to shift i had to pull the shifter up and then push it up and down till it got in any gear i somethimes had to start out in 3rd gear (poor clutch)

Any d16 bolt should fit up to that. I used to have one but not anymore. I'm sure Bakeoff has it lying around his garage somewhere.

I should ahve a couple, but are you talking about the one that bolts into the tranny, or the one that just goes through the rear mount? Just need to know how long it has to be, and if it was a 17 or 19mm
