Default Bucking...

I have a 2000 civic si and when i am driving the car will start to buck, it will loose power and then come back, it happens alot starting from a dead stop or the car was at full throttle...

Sounds like a spark issue maybe? Just shootin' in the dark but it sounds like you're describing a misfire. Check your plugs. Check your wires. Check the cap and rotor if those are okay. Read your plugs to see what your fuel situation is. Maybe the fuel filter could do with changing. Consult your repair manual of choice for some other simple things to check out. Good luck!

just a thought, it could also be your throttle body, but the car is a 2000 and fairly new. like section said, it could also be your spark.

More often than not, it's a spark plug misfiring or something of that nature. Have you done a tune-up lately? Might as well change the distributor cap and rotor and plug wires while you're at it.

your spark is being interuppted i iwould just go ahead and replace igniter,rotor,dist. cap.,plugs, wires,.that right there should take care of teh problem h:

Yeah sounds kinda like my problem . I changed everything and it came back to life !
