You've got the tach from a sol VTEC? As long as it reads what RPM I'm really at and redlines at 8.2k, I'm all for it.

Ok, problem with the extended redline expected of me...it cannot happen.

Here's the best way I can think of to describe the problem:

Now notice, that in a clockwise rotational motion around the tach, once you get past the 8, you're in the spot where, on foreign Sols, the overheated cat warning light is. Our Sols don't have this indicator, but the housing for it remains. If I were to extend the numbering, it would overlap that area, and you would end up with a dark spot...meaning, nothing past the spot where the OEM tach ends will light up.

I can do the 140mph speedometer that some have requested, but this sort of extension on the tach is impossible.

So for those of you with swaps that want accurate tach readings, I'm afraid your only solution will be to find a VTEC cluster with the numbering you need.

OSX,
I dont think you understand. I want my stock guages. I dont want the spacing at all changed. I dont want anything on them changed except the color. I want the redline to show on the gauge where the real redline is. They can stay at 120mph, and the tach can stay exactly how it is. I just need the red part of the tach to be at 8200 rpm instead of 7200 rpm.

Ok, that can be done, but you will only have 2 or 3 ticks in your redline, as opposed to 10 or 15.
