92 Integra for Cheap? Worth it?

OK, I know a friend that is selling a 92 Integra with stock everything except an AEM intake.

Is 2500 a good deal for it.

It has 140,000 miles on it, adult driven.

All I really want is the motor and tranny...

I have seen the B18's go for that much for a complete swap, so was thinking about it just for the swap parts, and parting out the rest on eBay, or here.

I also looked up some stats on the USDM B series for that year, it was a B18B1, with S80 trans (I think), would that make it a deal (even thought the JDM motor has more hp)?

I couldn't get a look at the motor, since I was in a hurry.

This B would be better than what I have now, the D16Z6...

Thanks

fawk the swap, g2 tegs are cool  just drive the focker as it is  I think thats a pretty good deal. What color is it?

BTW, if youre wondering about the b18a swap, ask honura, I think he just did it like last week.

Hehe Yes I did. Not worth the $2,500 if you just need the motor and tranny . Because non of those mounts will work , the linkage will not work , ECU is OBD0 , axel's no good . So go to your local junkyard and see if you can get a motor and tranny . I would not spend more then $600-$700 for both . Then you get 94+ tegra= upper drivers side mount , rear mount , tranny mount . 94+tegra Linkage ,94+ axels . And thats it you got yourself a nice swap ! I kinda like my swap I personally feel my motor needs to be looked at cause it lags but other then that you will be happy with the swap . GoodLuck

Ha Ha, I might be getting rid of this thing sooner than later...

It has 30,000 miles on it now, was just put in before I purchased the car...

I was told (worngly) that the motor was a B18, but turned out to be the D16Z6...

I needed the car anyway, so I didn't back out...

I plan on using this as my project car, so it will be taken apart in the near future (just bought another car, so I can take the Civic apart now!)

When I get the motor out I will post it here, if anyone want's it...

Might be expensive for shipping though, unless you are near Oklahoma...

Thanks for the posts

I have a whole '93 teg GS in VA. The whole car. 130k miles. Runs, tranny's good. Hit on passenger side, front driver's suspension is busted so it won't drive. $800 come and get it.

I liked my '92 way better then any of my buddy's 5G hatchbacks. :dunno:

Body condition and trim level makes a big difference in price. My old '92 GS was in absolutely perfect condition with all options and only booked for about $3500. I others in worse condition going for $1500 all the time.

On that note, an OBD-1 B18A1 swap is not worth $2500. Not even close.
