I have a 93 del sol S right not and if I'm correct that car has the d 15 engine in it. I was thinking of swapping it out b/c of the high mileage and lack of speed. But then I thought about getting it rebuilt and ported and then goin turbo.....Just curious about appoximate hp gains and cost to rebuild and port......Or any alternative ways to get around 200hp

 

you don't even have VTEC. If your going cheap i would at least get a d16z6 and go turbo off that, extra 23 hp off the bat and VTEC and still a d-series so no messy swap issues.

 

i think it would be more worth you time and money if you at least went for the d16 because of their relitive ease to find and cheap cost, plus you said youve already got high miles on your current motor. its gonna cost you less right now just to get another d and put it in there easy than to build up what you have now for boost.

remember, sometimes mileage > speed... wait, i meant mileage << speed. sorry.
