woah woah man don't break something. Take off those two rear panels and you'll see the grill is held in by two screws.

Now, as for speakers, I only know high end, so if you want something really good, prepare to spend a lot of money. Also, a 4 channel amp would be ideal for kappas.

ehh i don't want to spend bunches of money for great sound, the stock speakers are allmost what i need but some bass sounds farty, so I don't want to get an amp and all of that crap. Will kappa's sound funny with no amp?

I think he was being a dork. Red Hot chili PEPpers, paper, pepper, paper...get it? :hahano:

Maybe your bass sounds muddy cause you got the wires reversed. An amp helps tremendously even on not so good speakers, but too much power on not so good speakers is not so good. High powered decks (say 40x4) have lots of power, but it's not "clean" power. A 160 watt four channel amp will sound better than a deck with same power.

If he's an audiophile, he won't have blaupunkt.

:chuckles: yea i know. he drives a pathfinder and just replaced his speakers with ones he got from his father's Corvette, im not quite sure what they are, but they sound nice, even in such a big and diffrent car.

but i like blaupunkt, whats wrong with them if your looking for inexpencive decent speakers? for all the work i do in music i have never really looked into this area so im prone to be a bigger moron than normal.

yeah i want a bullet-proof speaker :naughty:, my new cd player is a 50 x 4 and it sounds better on the stock speakers than my old as hell 35 x 4. I'm not looking for perfect music, i like how loud it gets now just the bass is farty some times and others it's perfect

forget putting subs in the trunk. The sheet metal between the cabin and the trunk will do a fine job in muffling the sub. I have heard subs in the trunk, as well and in the cabin and IMO they just don't compare. The area behind the rear seats has enough room for a few different set-ups, all of which will sound better that tossing in a sub box in the trunk.
