Default pulling problem

i have a 94 honda civic, i have had it for about a month now, when i bought it, it was allready lowerd, im not sure how he lowerd it but it doesnt look like cut springs, but when i drop down to second gear from a higher gear it likes to sway really bad. And all so when i apply the brakes going about 40 or higher the car likes to shake. does anyone have any idea what could cause this?? And should i raise the car back up?? If so how would i do this? I know i sound dumb but this is my first import so im still no that familour with the system yet. Thanks
Kevin

When you're shifting into 2nd, are you getting on the gas and pulling, or are you just downshifting and slowing down?
Sounds like you either have some bad motor mounts, or bad alignment
AND
you probably have warped rotors. Just get some new rotors and pads for the front brakes. If shouldn't take you more than a couple hours to swap out the rotors and pads as a first time thing (adding time for since you said you're new to this). That will take care of the shaking.
For the pulling to the side, take it in and ahve the alignment done. That should solve that.
