I would think it would get hotter, since the whole point of forced induction in general is to jam more air into the cylinder so that you can burn more fuel. Lowering the temperature of the intake charge just increases the density of the air, so you have more oxidizer per unit of pressure.

a hotter burn isn't necesarily a more powerful burn. A hotter burn really just indicates theres too much air in the mix, this can sometimes produce more power, but often it doesn't since the burn is uneven throughout the combustion chamber (some parts burn really hot, some parts don't burn at all). This is the condition that leads to hotspots, and to major engine damage like piston pitting, cyl wall scoring, and worse...

:edit: so basically, hotter doesn't necesarily mean more powerful. Sometimes a poor a/f mixture will make a shitload of power right before it breaks something, but more often youre actually making less power from a really hot burn (because of incomplete combustion).

They make "turbo timers" for N/A also. See HKS/Greddy....

Although it DOES sound kind of stupid, I guess it really wouldn't hurt to let the car idle...

and I wouldn't consider someone who has a timer on a N/A car a 'ricer'... but I might point and laugh... :chuckles: jk.
