so the average bet is saying boost the ish out of the d series huh? i dont mind that idea but how hard would it be to swap in a newer d series??? what would i need

not the easiest job in the world because you have to change it from OBD2 to OBD1 (not have, but it does make it easier).

Just rebuild your Z6. :naughty:

the only reason i ask that is cause someone offered me a used 99 motor with 44000 miles on it for 500 dollars would it be worth it???

so where should i get my pistons?, rings? etc etc etc ( i am just asking opinions and what you would all get?)

Well you can get the motor from the 99 . But you will have a bit of work on your hands ! You need to change the intake manifold , ECU , Distro . And its a fast job changing the motor . Maybe about 4-5 hours .

Just build the Z6. The parts are available and it can be done just as easy as a new motor.

ok thanks i took my head off today cause of the knocking and there isnt oil in the cylinders so i am guessing it is coming from the top of the engine so i am gonna rebuild i guess but just out of curiousity and i have posted about ten times asking does the 99 civic ex motor bolt right to my tranny????
