It's not hard to remove. The front LCA's bolt to the subframe so they have to be removed and either brace the engine or remove it (wouldn't be a bad thing to add when doing a swap, I had my engine removed to do some maintenance and change the brake system over to a GS-R setup). Unbolt the steering and the tierods and it's 4 big bolts and it's out (I used an air gun, but they shouldn't be as bad as axle nut bolts).

Those parts should work fine. If he's removing the engine, just ask him to be careful of all the PS stuff and leave it in, write down or take pictures of where everything goes and carefully unbolt everything and you should be able to to swap everything over pretty simply. I remember when I was stripping my rack down there was hardline part and a sensor attached that I just threw away, but I'm not sure where that sensor would go. Might have just been a GS-R thing but I doubt it? I still say dump the PS and just use the new rack, make yourself one of these (I gotta get my web host fixed).

the reason i was wanting powersteering was of course to improve turning and i have 17" wheels that seem to pull on any lil grove on the road. But like i said since i can use all that stuff off of that 95 ex i can probebly get it all for like 30 bucks.so i figured it would be worth it.I figure i will work on getting everything i need together first.then i will worry about installation.

Add the steering knuckle/universal joint (the little gold colored floppy thing that connects the steering shaft to the rack, the PS and non-PS are different) and don't forget any of the hard or soft lines and you should be good to go. Hopefully everything works out, good luck.
