Default Educate me on lowering please...

Im an idiot when it comes to cars, but i rcently baught the civic in my sig. One thing that is starting to piss me off and causing me to worry, is that its too low and keep hitting speed bumps/dips. I try and go diagonal as much as possible, but the ****er hits everywhere. Sometimes its just a scrappping noise, but theres times where u can hear metal hitting.

How much would it cost to raise my car enough so it goes over stuff without hitting, but still keep the "dropped" look. Any help will be much appreciated.

depends on how the previous owner lowered it. If it has coilovers, all you have to do is raise the perches (takes like a half hour). If they used really low aftermarket springs, or cut their stock springs, then you'll have to replace the springs.

When a car is lowered significantly, the bumpstops should be trimmed so theyre smaller. That way, you wont be hitting them all the time. So check the bumpstops and see if thely look like they've been cut... they shoud be.

They might be cut or you have coilovers hope you have coilovers that will save you a shit load of money . I would ask if your car bounces a lot but that will not help at all because if you say yes it does it still leave us in the same spot . But yeah look at them and see if there is something that looks like a giant screw if it does just raise it up and your good to go ! Then take a tape measure and make sure you raised it up the same on all sides !

Or just make sure you turn the same amount on all sides instead of doing it ghetto style h:

Hopefully it's just coilovers and you can raise it back up a little without any extra money into it.

Hard to tell from this angle but they look like normal spring from here. Maybe someone can identify them by their color
