Default 13mm si rear sway bar.

finally going to be putting on an si rear sway on my 98 civic. Just wanted to get a few things clear before i put it on...

will I have to drive it up on rails so that i can mount it and tighten it with the suspension settled? Or can i just lift it at the jack points fit it on without tightening and then just drive it around the block for the suspension to settle before i tighten it up? Any tricks to get this mounted?

I've also heard that some people have used larger washers behind the bolt so that it distributes the stress over a wider area, is this necessary with this stock bar?

and lastly, will I need to retighten the bolts after a while? thanks to all that can help me.

Well its finally in and DAYUM... I don't know why I waited so long to put this in. Handling is COMLETELY FREAKIN neutral. :awais:

Sorry for if it sounds like i'm overreacting but i didn't expect the dramatic change that this sway has given my cars handling.

If you have a civic ex with no rear sway.... this is the one of the best suspension mods you can do after springs and shocks (and sticky tires) IMO.

Shiet, now i just need some stickier tires and I'm set with the suspension. LOL will be coming back in like a year for questions and troubleshooting on turbocharging d series. :wiggle:

 One of the best mods I have done to my car too!!! It get's much better with some 205/50/15 tires on there. I just put AGX's on so I'm looking forward to seeing any improvement. Right now it's too snowy.

Thats the tire size I am currently running... its just that the Toyo fz4's that are on my car have been dissapointing performance wise for me. After running yokohama es100 the fz4's just don't compare. I can't wait till those POS tires wear out so I can either get some Azenis or es100's so I can truely relize my suspensions full potential.

Car feels like its glued to the road with the pos fz4 tires after installing the bar, so I can only imagine how a set of tires with excellent grip will feel like.
