the Apexi Super VAFC II.

How exactly does computer hardware like this function/hook up to/work with your car? TIA

They use the signal from the map sensor to mess with fueling, and you set where you want the vtec engagment. Even with a GSR motor, or an H22 that has a secondary butterfly system, it can activate that and the vtec solenoid.
You can lean out, richen, etc, based on rpm range.
