Default 88-91 test pipe on a 96

besides the fact that there is no O2 sensor bung (which i could have added), will a test pipe designed for 88-91 civics fit a 96?

In other words, would a 88-91 cat fit on the pipes of a 96 civic?

thanks

The flanges are half the battle. The length is the important part, and I seriously doubt an 88-91 Si pattern under-car cat converter is the same size as a '96, two generations worth of design revisions later.

You might be able to cut it and reweld it to the proper length, but bolt straight on, no.

Why don't you just buy the proper size test pipe? They're not that expensive.
