When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter and had you injectors cleaned?

Are you hitting the rev limiter?

Definately fuel related...but sounds like your hitting the rev-limiter......

Need more info....Does it bog down like it's getting ready to die.. or does it kinda sputter.

Where do you shift? The rev limiter is well above redline. By the time the needle hits that magic red line, you should be halfway through shifting into the next gear.

The rev limiter is like hitting a brick wall. The only time I have ever hit it was in a Ford truck with no tachometer, on accident. If you are regularly hitting the rev limiter, you need to seriously readjust your driving habits before you blow the engine.

i used to drive a rx-7 then a prelude vtec and i have never had this promblem before hitting the redline, i don't drive hard at all just every now and then, anyways the red line on a civic is at 6k which isn't very much. when i'm really getting on it i don't expect it to bog like that as soon as it passes 6k. not far past 6k right at it.

pretty sure that's the rev limiter. If it's like hitting a brick wall then that's it.
