Default what motor should i get?

what would be the best b-series engine to put in my 97 civic? I essentially want a plug and play, w/ no modifications. B16a? B18c1/c5??

B16A2 or B16A3.

I believe the wiring harnesses are different for the B18C1 and the 6th gen civics.

You'll have to do some modifications regardless. It's a much better idea to go to OBD1 as well. You can't really do a hybrid without doing something.

B16A2 and 96+ B18C1/5

basically OBD2 B series motors.

mini me swaps are good...as long as you know what you are doing.

You made a post earlier that stated you had a EX. Doesn't it already have a SOHC VTEC motor in it? Thus, no mini-me swap would be necessary

Are you sure? If you have an EX model, you have VTEC, unless someone swapped in a different engine. What engine do you have in there if you don't have VTEC??
