What is a damper kit? What does it do?

I know I know, might be a stupid question...sry fellas.

 

are you talking about suspension?....engine?


damper basically means some kind of shock assembly


when people refer it to suspension...it usually means the shocks on a car...or the full damper kit such as a coilover with a threaded shock assembly.

there are also engine dampers and trunk dampers. it all really depends what kind of damper kit you are talking about.

 

Suspension. So it's basically a shock/strut assembly?
