Default Seeking help

I bought a set of ractive coilovers and plan to drop my car 3.0" what should I buy to complete the lowering process. I know that I have to buy struts, shocks, and a chamber kit but I'm not too sure on ball joints, anchor bolts negative and positives. What should I do before I have someone install all of this can he tell me if everything is correct and I'm not going to have a significant wear on the inside of my tires. I just need some input on all of this so please help.......

Get either an Ingalls (sp) or Skunk2 camber kit (S2 is the upper A arm and has a sliding mount - rumors that it can slide, but never actually seen or heard it happen).

What size rims are you running on? 3.0" is a hell of a drop, do you like scraping your bumper? Do you have a body kit? If so, I'd seriously reconsider this. jmo

It's got a body kit, the W-type, It sits about 8" off the ground now and w/ all the new mods I wanted it to be around 5" I haven't bought a chamber kit yet though. I looked into skunk2 and that seems like a pretty good buy, but what about spc? What are the best shocks recommended for lowering?

I highly doubt it's that high off the ground. I'm sorry, but even at stock height and factory body parts the car doesn't sit that high.

My car with the front lip on there sits at ~5.5" in the front and I have coilovers, 16" wheels, 205/40 tires and 1 finger of wheel gap and I know I'm not lowered 3". Post some pics man.

At one point I had my accord lowered 3 in. in back, and 2.75 in front and it got raped by EVERYTHING. Not really the bumpers, but the exhaust got hell. I think 3 in. is not practical for daily driving at all.

I have to agree. I've bounced my frame off a couple driveways and that was enough for me. Heck, I raised it up and then smacked my FMIC bracket on a driveway and said "fock that!"

I'm safely at a raised level now.

I meant 5" off the ground, now I'm kinda hesitant to lower it at all. What's your clearance now westcoast? What kinda shocks do you recommend and should I spend the money to buy new struts too or will the factory ones be alright? I really appreciate all the advise westcoast and all the other ppl helpin me out, you've all been really helpful..

my front lip is at ~5.5"

I run Skunk2 c/os and Koni Yellows.

You should get new struts when you lower it. The OEM ones will eventually go out because they weren't made to have such a short travel.

Glad I could help.
