Default High chrip sound

I dunno...recently I was just driving and I noticed a weird high pitch metal chirp sound every now and then. It comes when i accelerate.. it's not continuous , just sounds like a bird is screaming for help inside my engine bay...

What could it be? A belt? Tranny problem?

Could be, but it's not really a whine..just a short chirp sound...it just comes for a quick sec every now and then.

Pretty hard to diagnose these type of 'I hear this' issues. Without us hearing the sound, you're pretty much just going to get shots in the dark.

So here's my shot in the dark - are you SURE it's not something rattling in the cabin? Some little squeak, something in the dash that could sound like it's in the engine bay?

Try to have a better listen. Maybe get someone else to drive while you listen for it. Or maybe if you could describe the sound better, we could make some more educated guesses. Sorry man, that's all I got....

is your ac button pushed in? if it is it could be the pressure switch on your compressor kicking. low on freon. just a guess though.
