Default removing REAR VIEW...?

I'm going to be installing a banner of tint on the windsheild but I'd like it to be about 5in down so I need to remove the rear view mirror. Is there a "better way" to do it?

if you can find a way to do it without taking off your rearview then i would try doing it that way. in my experience with rearview mirrors once they come off they never stick as well after that.(wouldnt want your mirror to fall off everytime vtec hits ) but try spraying alcohol or some kind of adheasive remover. i think that should losen it up. then use a razor blade.

I agree if the rear view is glue to your windshield just cut the tint to fit around the base and the arm. Don't remove the mirror or it will not stick as well later.
