Default Calling All HAN... CF or Polymer Fill for Sun Roof?!?!

Basically, I've heard it exists and I'm sure it does for race applications but...

Does anyone know of a company that makes either a polymer (like the Flex-A-Lite rear quarter glass) or Carbon Fiber replacement to the OEM Glass on the sun roofs?

I know there are permanent filler piece options by either retail or fabrication methods but what I want is a bolt in replacement of the glass for a light weight functional alternative.

A CF piece would be extremely easy to make. I bet you could have it fabbed for cheap.

Not sure about the Flex-A-Lite sunroof, but I'd look into a custom carbon fiber one. Or, this site has some fiberglass inserts.

guy on h-t.com made it but he was charging $300 for it.

you could probably make it out of CF if you planned to paint it.

I'd just go with fiberglass personally and paint it to match.

Yeap, saw that one. But it looked pretty ghetto... and I bet you can do it yourself.

I know one could be fabricated and I've seen others that people sell but they usually aren't functional and install permanently.

I want to be able to retain the track and motor so it will still open.

Thanks for all of the info so far... keep it coming:thumbup:
